EMPLOYEE AND FAMILY ASSISTANCE PLANS
Employee and Family Assistance Plans (EFAP) provide confidential, short term, counselling services for employees and their immediate families with job-related concerns, personal or family difficulties, financial problems, legal issues, eldercare problems, parenting issues, substance abuse, gambling problems, work-life balance and stress, harassment, and workplace violence issues. These programs are designed to help people understand and/or overcome their personal problems and as a result reduce absenteeism, accidents, healthcare and disability claims costs, and help to increase morale and the productivity of employees.
